330% increase in revenue from SEO.

We were delighted to work with our client, a local tour operator, to generate three times the amount of revenue than in the same period the year before.

Whilst the scope of work was agreed to help improve keyword rankings, we were also focused on generating more business for them from their Search Engine Optimization (SEO) performance.

Hence, this led to the results we were so pleased to deliver from higher rankings in Google for keywords such as [ring of kerry tour] and [day tours from killarney]. Not only did it mean that the website got more visits (also known as website sessions), but crucially more bookings. And consequently, revenue increased by well over 300% in August to October (inclusive) 2022, versus the same period in 2021 .

Objectives

  • Put ourselves in ‘the shoes of the customer’

  • Improve where the website appeared in Google

  • Increase revenue generated from the website

Our approach

1. Keyword Research

Using a process of keyword research we’ve been refining for almost 15 years, we started by putting ourselves in ‘the shoes of the customer‘.

2. Gap Analysis

Once we’d an agreed list of keywords to target, we looked at how they’re used on existing webpages giving areas to focus on and provide recommendations for.

3. Practical Improvements

Using a framework which includes a ‘resource versus reward’ calculation, we made a series of recommendations for the client to approve for implementation.

Results

  1. 330% increase in revenue from SEO.

  2. Almost 80 keywords improved in Google.

  3. "James and his colleagues were great to work with, extremely professional and helpful and all timelines for project were met." - General Manager, Wild Kerry Day Tours
